Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that 18 of its staff have been exposed to COVID-19, based on the results of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
“Based on the information we have received, 18 employees have tested positive for COVID-19 based on PCR tests,” acting spokesperson for KPK, Ali Fikri, said in a written statement released on Friday.
The 18 KPK employees are in good health and have only developed mild symptoms, he informed. They are conducting self-isolation at their respective homes, he added.

He said the COVID-19 Task Force at KPK has coordinated with public service posts near the domicile of the KPK employees for their further treatment.
“Right now, we have also taken anticipatory steps to detect the spread of COVID-19 by tightening the health protocols and spraying disinfectant periodically in the working room of each employee,” he informed.
KPK is also evaluating the ratio of employees working from home to employees at offices to reduce the risk of transmission by prioritizing work productivity, he added.
“KPK has also administered the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to all its employees,” he said.
