Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia condemned Israel’s continued military attacks on Gaza, saying strikes on civilians and infrastructure violate international law, undermine the Gaza ceasefire, and deepen the humanitarian crisis facing Palestinians.
Indonesia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on X on Wednesday that the attacks deliberately obstruct implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and worsen the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Jakarta urged Israel, as a party to the ceasefire agreement, to immediately and permanently halt military operations and fulfill all commitments under the truce in accordance with international law.
The statement followed an Israeli military strike on Sunday that killed at least 18 Palestinians, including three children and an unborn baby, while wounding several others across the Gaza Strip.
The attack came two days after US President Donald Trump and the Board of Peace announced an agreement to implement the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, effective on Oct. 10, 2025.
Palestinian officials said continued attacks and severe aid restrictions have weakened the ceasefire, citing thousands of alleged violations that caused 1,230 deaths and 4,076 injuries during the truce.

Indonesia welcomed statements by Hamas and allied Palestinian factions accepting the roadmap for implementing the ceasefire’s second phase, consistent with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025).
“This is an important step toward ending the conflict,” the Foreign Ministry said.
Jakarta also urged all parties to ensure full protection for civilians, medical personnel and humanitarian workers while guaranteeing the uninterrupted delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza.
Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to supporting a credible political process leading to an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on the Two-State Solution, in line with relevant UN resolutions and internationally agreed parameters.
The current negotiations follow more than two years of conflict in Gaza, which began in October 2023 and has devastated the densely populated Palestinian enclave.
Official estimates show the conflict has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians, injured over 174,000 people, destroyed nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure, and left reconstruction costs at an estimated US$70 billion, according to the United Nations.
