Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s roller skating team won 19 medals, including 14 golds, at the Belt and Road China-ASEAN Speed Roller Skating Championships in China’s Fujian Province.
The Aug. 7-9 championships were held in Dehua County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, with Indonesia’s performance drawing praise from the country’s roller sports federation.
The Indonesian Roller Sports Federation (PB Porserosi), in a post on Sunday, congratulated the team on its outstanding achievement.
“Keep moving forward, keep pursuing achievements, and keep making Indonesia proud,” PB Porserosi said on Instagram.
Indonesia won 19 medals at the international championships, comprising 14 gold, four silver and one bronze. The 14 gold medals were won by athletes competing across senior and junior events.
Athaya Rizky Prasetya was among the standout performers, winning gold in the Senior Men’s 200 meters, 500m+D and 1,000 meters. He also helped the men’s relay team win gold with Fatahilah Rajawali CP and Lalu Dafa Maulana.
Fatahilah Rajawali CP also won gold in the Senior Men’s 10,000-meter elimination event. In the senior women’s category, Disna Ayu Luhutia won three golds in the 500m+D, 1,000-meter and 5,000-meter points events. Indonesia also excelled in the junior category. Devina Dwi Aprilia won two golds in the Junior Women’s 5,000-meter points and 1,000-meter events.
Nafeeza Lamarch D.N. won two golds in the Junior Women’s 200-meter and 500-meter events, while Dafian Putra Purnama won two in the Junior Men’s 5,000-meter points and 1,000-meter events.
Indonesia also secured four silver medals. Fatahilah Rajawali CP won two in the Senior Men’s 5,000-meter points and 1,000-meter events, while Lalu Dafa Maulana took silver in the 200-meter and 500m+D events.
Lalu Dafa Maulana also emerged as one of Indonesia’s promising young athletes, helping the men’s relay team win gold and finishing with one gold and two silver medals.
Indonesia’s only bronze medal was won by Nafeeza Lamarch D.N. in the Junior Women’s 1,000-meter event.
The three-day championships were held at the Dehua County Teacher Training School Affiliated Primary School roller skating track.
