Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto appointed Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as the new Presidential Chief of Staff following his tenure as National Police Chief.

Listyo was sworn into his new role in Jakarta on Thursday, alongside several other senior officials.

His appointment was formalized under Presidential Decree No. 105/P of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment of the Presidential Chief of Staff and the Head of the Agrarian Reform Agency, signed by President Prabowo on September 30, 2026.

At a ceremony held at the State Palace, President Prabowo administered the oath of office to Listyo as the new Presidential Chief of Staff.

“I pledge that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution and carry out all applicable laws for the sake of my devotion and service to the nation and country,” Listyo recited.

Listyo succeeds Dudung Abdurachman, who had served as Presidential Chief of Staff since April 27, 2026.

In Thursday’s cabinet reshuffle, Dudung was sworn in as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.

Before his appointment as Presidential Chief of Staff, Listyo had served as National Police Chief since January 27, 2021.

He was succeeded by Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, whose appointment as National Police Chief was approved by the House of Representatives (DPR) on Thursday.

Besides Listyo, Dudung, and Suyudi, President Prabowo also inaugurated several other officials as part of a broader reshuffle of the cabinet and state institutions.

They include Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Bahlil Lahadalia, Foreign Affairs Minister Arrmanatha Nasir, Industry Minister Sarmuji, Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency Dedy Prasetyo, and Deputy Head of the North Coast Java Authority Commissioner General Fadil Imran.
