All test negative following contact with COVID-19 patient in Natuna

We have concluded contact tracing this morning. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), all of them tested negative.

Ranai, Natuna (ANTARA) – All people, who had come in close contact with a COVID-19 patient in Natuna District, Riau Islands Province, tested negative for the virus based on the contact tracing result, a health officer stated.

“We have concluded contact tracing this morning. Alhamdulillah (Thank God), all of them tested negative,” Chief of the Ranai Public Health Service Post Nazri noted in Natuna on Monday.

The contact tracing was conducted on all members of the patient’s family, and none of them were found to have come in close contact with other people, he remarked.

“Four people are treating the patient in the family,” he noted

Meanwhile, Chief of the Natuna Health Office Hikmat Aliansyah said his office did not come across local residents exposed to a new variant of the COVID-19.

On Sunday, June 26, 2022, a resident of Ranai Village in Natuna was declared positive for COVID-19. The resident is undergoing self-isolation at the local general hospital.
