Jakarta (ANTARA) – Actor Revaldo Fifaldi underwent a medical examination at the West Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday after becoming embroiled in another drug case, police said.
West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Senior Commissioner Nasriadi said the examination was necessary to monitor any possible effects of the drugs Revaldo allegedly consumed, despite the actor appearing to be in good health.
“Generally, he is in good health, but we are still monitoring the effects of his alleged drug use,” he told reporters in Jakarta.
If medical examinations confirm that Revaldo is in good health, police will proceed with the legal process, including moving to detain him, Nasriadi said.
“Once the results show that he is healthy, we will proceed to the next step, namely detaining him,” he said.
Police are currently focused on handling the drug case against Revaldo in accordance with applicable laws, Nasriadi said.
“As for the legal process, we will continue handling the case according to the applicable regulations,” he said.
Police are also awaiting an assessment team’s decision on whether Revaldo should undergo rehabilitation, Nasriadi said, noting that the actor has previously faced drug cases.
“We are waiting for the assessment team’s decision on whether he will undergo rehabilitation. As far as we know, this is his fourth case,” he said.
Revaldo has been charged under multiple provisions, including Article 609 of the Criminal Code concerning the possession or storage of narcotics, Article 127 of the Psychotropics Law, and Health Ministry Regulation No. 14/2005.
