Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s police are expanding digital public services through the SuperApp Polri, which integrates emergency call 110 with other police services down to local precincts, a police spokesperson said.
“Through SuperApp Polri, people can access various police services on one platform, including Polri 110, which has been integrated down to the precinct level,” Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir said here Monday.
The 110 service enables people to communicate directly with police when they need assistance or want to report situations requiring officers’ presence, he said.
The 110 service is available across regional police units, including precincts, he said. The SuperApp Polri can be downloaded from Google Play Store on Android devices.
“With an integrated system, public reports and requests can be received and forwarded to authorized units closest to the location for immediate follow-up,” Johnny said.
The two-star general said the use of technology in police services was also part of efforts to build closer communication with the public.
People are not only service recipients but also have opportunities to help maintain security and public order, he said.
“Every piece of information submitted through police service channels reflects public concern for their surroundings and collective security. We want to ensure every report receives an appropriate response and handling,” he said.
The police are also urging all units to respond quickly and professionally to every report they receive.
Integrating services down to the precinct level is expected to shorten response times and ensure people receive assistance from officers closest to the incident.
“Technology is not merely about applications, but also about delivering real benefits. The measure is whether people know whom to contact, can access services easily and receive a quick response,” he said.
