Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched offices within the Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Ministry on Thursday, seeking additional evidence in a high-profile bribery investigation involving senior government officials and a major property developer.
“Today, Thursday (Sept. 17), investigators commenced a search… at several locations within the ATR Ministry’s complex,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told journalists in Jakarta, confirming the operation targeted the room of the director general of land and spatial control and enforcement.
“We will continue providing updates on the operation as part of our commitment to transparency in legal proceedings.”
Prasetyo explained that investigators conducted the searches to gather supplementary evidence following a September 14 sting operation across the Greater Jakarta area.
The investigation centers on alleged corruption surrounding building use rights (HGB) for property developer PT Summarecon Agung Tbk in Bogor, West Java.
The anti-graft agency subsequently named eight individuals as suspects, including ATR Ministry Director General Lampri, Head of the Bogor Land Office Sontang Coin Manurung, Summarecon Agung President Director Adrianto Pitojo Adhi, and Summarecon intermediary Rizal Pahlevi.
The remaining four suspects—former Kebumen Regent Arif Sugiyanto, Golkar Party politician Fahd El Fouz, and private individuals Erwin and Muhammad Fakhry—are reportedly close associates of ATR Minister Nusron Wahid.
