Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA) – State-owned postal company PT Pos Indonesia-Bandarlampung Main Office stated that the number of beneficiary families of the fuel cash assistance (BLT BBM) in Lampung province had increased by 100,211.
“We received additional (quota of) BLT BBM beneficiary families from the central government, including 100,211 (beneficiary families) spread in 15 districts and cities in this province,” Executive General Manager of PT Pos Indonesia-Bandarlampung Main Office Risdayanti said, when contacted here on Thursday.
She noted that with the additional quota, the number of beneficiary families in Lampung swelled from 687,887 to 788,098.
According to Risdayanti, the additional beneficiaries are divided into two groups: 15,627 that receive fuel cash assistance and staple goods assistance, and 84,584 that only receive fuel cash assistance.
Risdayanti emphasized that her party would promptly distribute the assistance to the beneficiaries so that they could utilize it.
The distribution process is carried out directly by teams from Pos Indonesia, she added.
She also said that there is no cut in the amount of cash disbursed to the beneficiaries.
“So far, there have been no reports regarding cuts in BLT BBM in Lampung,” she stressed.
Based on the latest data from PT Pos Indonesia-Bandarlampung Main Office, as of Wednesday, September 21, 2022, the disbursement of the fuel cash assistance in Lampung has reached 93 percent, or 735,908 of the total 788,098 beneficiary families.
Fuel cash assistance is one of the government’s social assistance packages, begun after diverting fuel subsidies.
The government readied a total budget of Rp12.4 trillion to provide fuel cash assistance for 20.65 million beneficiary families, distributed through PT Pos Indonesia. Each beneficiary family receives Rp150 thousand per month for a period of four months, and the disbursement is conducted in two phases, so each beneficiary family receives Rp300 thousand in September and another Rp300 thousand in December.
