Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya encouraged technology companies to keep producing innovations capable of meeting industry needs and creating added value to break into the global market.
Harsya said the development of McEasy is one positive example of an Indonesian technology company with innovations that strengthen the mobility, transportation, and logistics ecosystem.
“Indonesia has the talent, market, and industry needs that can serve as room for technological innovation to grow, as shown by McEasy,” Harsya said in a statement received here on Tuesday.
The challenge is to ensure such innovations continue to be developed into products with added value, capable of being commercialised, and ultimately able to compete in the global market.

Throughout its journey since 2017, McEasy has secured Series B funding worth US$9 million from Integra Partners, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, along with a growth debt facility from InnoVen Capital after previously receiving Seed and Series A funding from East Ventures and Granite Asia.
Its technology is used by around 2,000 companies, with its system recording around 350 million kilometers of vehicle travel each month.
Harsya said the achievement shows that Indonesian technology companies have the capacity to build products that meet industry needs while also gaining the trust of the market and investors.
He added the ministry is committed to serving as a facilitator to help technology startups strengthen their journey from innovation to commercialisation, so they can grow into sustainable products and businesses.
This is intended to ensure that innovations born in Indonesia do not stop at the prototype stage, but continue to be developed, protected, commercialised, and expanded into larger markets.
