Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday appointed Dudung Abdurachman as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, replacing Djamari Chaniago, in a cabinet reshuffle at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The appointment was made at the State Palace in Jakarta, with Abdurachman, who previously served as presidential chief of staff, taking the oath of office before Prabowo.

Abdurachman’s former position as presidential chief of staff was filled by Indonesian police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

“I will remain loyal to and uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully implement all laws and regulations in the best interest of my service to the nation and state,” Abdurachman said as he took the oath of office, administered by President Prabowo Subianto.

“In carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of office and perform my duties to the best of my ability, with full responsibility,” he said.

The inauguration ceremony was followed by the signing of the official appointment documents by Abdurachman and then President Prabowo.

The appointments were part of the latest cabinet reshuffle, the seventh since Prabowo took office two years ago.

The ceremony was attended by several senior government officials, including coordinating ministers in the Red and White Cabinet, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
