Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto on Monday welcomed private-sector cooperation and investment commitments between Indonesia and Thailand, including agreements on tourism connectivity and organic waste processing, as the two countries moved to deepen their strategic partnership.

The commitments were announced during a joint press statement by President Prabowo and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta following their bilateral meeting.

Prabowo said private-sector participation is an important pillar in strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Thailand.

“We welcome private-sector commitments to cooperation and investment, namely the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and TransNusa on tourism and connectivity, as well as the MoU between Bioaxel and Pro Consilium on an organic waste processing project,” Prabowo said.

According to the president, the business partnerships are expected to expand connectivity, increase tourist arrivals, and encourage investment in sectors that support sustainable development.

Beyond private-sector cooperation, the two leaders also reached several agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

Prabowo said the meeting resulted in the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026-2030, which will serve as a shared framework for expanding bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

“Today’s meeting also produced several concrete outcomes, including the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026-2030 as a shared framework to strengthen bilateral cooperation going forward,” he said.

The two countries also signed an MoU on education to strengthen cooperation in human resource development through educational collaboration.

“The signing of the MoU on education will strengthen cooperation in human resource development in both countries,” Prabowo said.
