Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture has said that the preparations of superior human resources is one of the national priority programs geared toward realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.

“Preparing superior human resources is one of the national priority programs, one of which is related to improving education,” acting deputy for coordination for education quality improvement and religious moderation at the ministry, Aris Darmansyah Edisaputra, said during a discussion on the “2022 Government Performance Achievement,” on Friday.

The government is continuing to improve the quality of education through various educational development strategy programs, he added.

“One of them is through equal distribution of quality and education services,” he said.

The programs also include increasing community participation in educational development programs, enhancing teachers’ professionalism and learning methods, and improving vocational education and character education.

The government is also making efforts to improve vocational education by conducting revitalization efforts in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 68 of 2022 about vocational education revitalization and vocational training, Edisaputra noted.

The revitalization includes some measures outlined in the national strategy for vocational education and vocational training, he informed.

“This strategy encourages the role of the business sector, industry, and the jobs–or DUDIKA (in short)–in the implementation of vocational education,” he said.

He further said that the revitalization aims to ensure that graduates have competencies that meet the intended sectors’ needs.

“It is expected that with the revitalization we can prepare superior human resources in accordance with their competencies,” he added.

In order to realize the 2045 Golden Generation, it is necessary to support the preparation of educated, adaptive, and collaborative human resources, Edisaputra said.

“Excellent human resources also need to have four mandatory competencies that need to be continuously honed and developed, those being skills, knowledge, strong and competitive character,” he added.
