President Prabowo appoints Arrmanatha Nasir as new foreign minister

Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir as Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Sugiono, at a ceremony held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.

Arrmanatha was appointed under Presidential Decree No. 105/P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State for the 2024–2029 Red and White Cabinet. The decree was issued by President Prabowo Subianto on September 30, 2026.

“I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and faithfully uphold all laws and regulations to the best of my ability in my service to the nation and state,” Arrmanatha said as he took the oath.

After taking the oath, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs signed the minutes of the inauguration, witnessed by President Prabowo, who then also signed the document.

President Prabowo then extended his best wishes to Arrmanatha and his family, as well as to the other ministers and deputy ministers inaugurated on Thursday. State officials attending the ceremony also conveyed their best wishes.

In addition to the Foreign Minister, the President also inaugurated Suyudi Ario Seto as Chief of the Indonesian National Police; Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstream and Energy Transition and concurrently as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM); and Sugiono as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK).

Also inaugurated were Presidential Chief of Staff Listyo Sigit Prabowo; Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Dudung Abdurachman; Minister of Industry Sarmuji; Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency Dedy Prasetyo; and Deputy Head of the North Coast Authority Agency, Commissioner General Fadhil Imran.

Other officials inaugurated were Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Dradjad Hari Wibowo; Deputy Minister of Finance Nurkolisoh Ibnu Aman; Deputy Minister of Finance Luky Afirman; and Deputy Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Irwan Meilano.
