Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA) – The Skouw State Border Post (PLBN) in Jayapura, Papua Province, has begun requiring passport-holding travelers entering Indonesia to complete the All Indonesia electronic arrival declaration.
Skouw Checkpoint Chief Ni Luh Puspa Jayaningsih said here Sunday that the requirement took effect on September 22, 2026.
More than 100 passport holders had used the system from September 22 to 30, she said, adding that October figures had not yet been compiled.
The measure had moved beyond public outreach and was now being directly enforced at the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border, she said.
“We hope the system will make cross-border movements more orderly and easier to monitor,” she said.
The Skouw checkpoint has also written to the Indonesian Consulate, asking it to notify travelers of the requirement to complete the All Indonesia form and obtain its QR code.
“Most people entering now complete the form on the official website, making the process easier,” she said.
The Skouw checkpoint recorded 237,592 border crossings from January to September, with foreign nationals accounting for most movements across the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border.
The total comprised 115,461 arrivals and 115,523 departures by foreign nationals, and 3,265 arrivals and 3,343 departures by Indonesians. The checkpoint also recorded 47,722 tourist visits.
