TNI, Police service to public always remembered by people: Prabowo

Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto has stressed that the service of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and Police (Polri) to the public is always monitored and remembered by the people.

Prabowo made the remarks in a virtual address from Merdeka Palace during the inauguration of 3,395 bridges built by TNI and Polri as well as 3,000 clean water sources built by the Army (TNI AD), centered in Bayah Barat village, Lebak, Banten, on Thursday.

“Although you may not feel it, all good deeds, all good service by individuals, by officials, by leaders, are actually monitored, watched, recorded, and remembered by the people. Remember that,” the president said.

Prabowo said service to the public is an important part of the duties of TNI and Polri. He praised soldiers and officers working in various regions, including hard-to-reach areas.

According to him, the various forms of service carried out by soldiers and officers show that TNI and Polri understand the importance of being leaders who work for the people’s interests.

He said the service also proves that TNI is a people’s army and Polri is a people’s police force, as both were born from the people, struggle alongside the people, and give their best for the people.

“This is proof that the TNI is truly the people’s TNI, and Polri is truly the people’s police. This is something we must always remember,” Prabowo said.

He said the service also demonstrates that the Indonesian people have a spirit of unity and mutual cooperation in nation-building.

“Today I am proud, today I am truly moved. Today we prove that Indonesia is a truly united nation, a nation of mutual cooperation, a nation capable of drawing on our own strength to work as hard as possible for the prosperity and well-being of the people,” he said.
