Badung, Bali (ANTARA) –
Bali’s immigration office has added two French nationals to its Subject of Interest (SOI) database over suspected production of sexually explicit videos on the island, an official said.
“We have added them to the Subject of Interest database,” Ramdhani, head of the Bali Regional Immigration Office, said here Monday.
Immigration officials identified the two French nationals as a woman with the initials EMC and a man identified as JPS.
Immigration records show they entered Indonesia through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on January 6, 2026, and left the country on January 18.
The videos reportedly appeared on adult websites in August but went viral on social media in October.
Officers suspect the videos were filmed during the pair’s stay at accommodation in Karangasem District, eastern Bali, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Buleleng Immigration Office.
Ramdhani said adding the pair to the SOI database would help immigration officers identify them if they returned to Indonesia.
“If they try to enter Indonesia again, the system will detect them and immigration officers will conduct further checks,” he said.
The SOI database allows immigration officials to monitor and analyze flagged individuals and take action when necessary. Its data is integrated with Indonesia’s immigration management system and accessible at immigration checkpoints nationwide.
