Jakarta (ANTARA) – Vice President Ma’ruf Amin has welcomed the inputs given by the Presidential Advisory Council regarding national economic recovery (PEN) in the handling of COVID-19 and human resource development in Indonesia.

Related to national economic recovery, Amin noted that bureaucratic complexity will be reduced for the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the construction of public service malls (MPP) at the district and city level.

According to the vice president, the MPP concept is what the government is working on. The MPP concept is an integrated one-to-one service at the district and village level where people can register for passports and licenses, Amin said in a statement here on Wednesday.

The vice president remarked that MPP will be built for the community, especially MSMEs, to enable them to obtain several public service products from government agencies. Related news: Halal industry will hopefully flourish in Madura: VP

Amin noted that the MPP concept is an effort to accelerate bureaucratic reform in Indonesia.

Regarding the development of human resources in Indonesia, the government continues to mentor pioneering teachers in higher education institutions through the Kampus Merdeka (Freedom in Campus) program, he highlighted.

Through quality advancement in teachers, the quality of education and manpower in Indonesia can also upgrade, he affirmed.

Moreover, the government has developed vocational training centers, or BLKs, to reach productive-age communities to improve requisite work-related skills.
