Jakarta (ANTARA) – Police have arrested 18 persons for drug consumption in Kampung Boncos, Palmerah Sub-district, West Jakarta, during a drug raid.
“During the raid this time in Kampung Boncos, we arrested 18 people found consuming drugs,” Chief of the Drug Detective Unit of the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police Commissioner Danang Setiyo said.
Police conducted the raid after receiving information from the public about drug circulation and abuse in the area, he said in a statement that ANTARA quoted here Sunday.

The 18 people apprehended in the raid comprised 15 men and 3 women, he added. They tested positive in a urine test conducted to screen for amphetamine, he informed.
Setiyo said the 18 people will undergo rehabilitation for recovery.
Police have also launched a hunt for the dealer who was supplying drugs to Kampung Boncos, he added.
