It means that charging (the vehicle to its full capacity) will only take less than 10 minutes per car.
Jakarta (ANTARA) – State-run electricity provider PT PLN (Persero) has assured that the construction of electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLUs) for the G20 Summit in Bali will be completed by the end of September.
After handing over Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to the heads of administration of five presidential palaces here on Tuesday, president director of PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, said that the company is setting up 66 fast-charging SPKLUs and 200 home-charging facilities.
“The completion (of the SPKLUs) is more than 90 percent, thus at the end of September (the SPKLUs) will (likely) be completed,” he added.
At least 616 electric cars will be used by state leaders and their entourage during the G20 Summit on November 15 and 16, 2022, while an additional 300 electric cars will serve as operational vehicles.
The president director informed that each fast-charging SPKLU can charge an electric car from zero to 90 percent in 40 minutes.
However, he said that since the distance between the venues of the G20 Summit is not too much, each electric car will only consume about 15 percent of its full energy.
“It means that charging (the vehicle to its full capacity) will only take less than 10 minutes per car,” Prasodjo said.

The company has carried out a simulation of the operation of the cars during the summit with the Presidential Security Guards (Paspampres).
He informed that 27 two-wheeled electric motorized vehicles will also be provided for Paspampres and for escorting purposes.
Earlier, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhur Binsar Pandjaitan, said that he is confident that PT PLN would be able to complete the electric vehicle infrastructure for the implementation of the G20 Summit on time.
“All activities at the G20 Summit will use electric vehicles. Regarding the charging facilities, all of them have been prepared by PLN, both the SPKLUs and home-charging facilities for electric cars, motorbikes, and buses,” he added.
