Jakarta (ANTARA) – Two young Indonesian roller skating athletes achieved remarkable results by winning one gold medal and one bronze medal at the Saitama Inline Freestyle Asia Cup 2026 in Saitama, Japan.
The Indonesian Roller Sports Federation (PORSEROSI), through its official Instagram account, praised the achievements of Queen Azmi Harthifa, who won the gold medal in the Speed Slalom Junior Women U15 category, and Muhammad Kenzo Gani, who secured the bronze medal in the Classic Slalom Junior Men U15 category.
“Congratulations to all Indonesian athletes for your outstanding performances at the Saitama Inline Freestyle Asia Cup 2026 in Saitama, Japan. Thank you for giving your best and making Indonesia proud,” PORSEROSI wrote in a post on its official Instagram account, as quoted on Monday.
In addition to Queen and Kenzo, the Indonesian team also featured Mercy Evenaar Tirta Monterie, Breeza Everard Tirta Monterie, and Arccianindita Ervinnya Sahasrakirana.
In a post on her personal Instagram account, Queen expressed her gratitude for ending the championship with the best possible result while proudly raising Indonesia’s Red and White flag on the international stage.
“I am very proud to be able to raise the Red and White flag at an international championship. This is another achievement that I will always be grateful for. I am very happy to finish this competition with the best result and stand on the podium,” Queen said.
She also thanked her club, coaches, sports officials, school, and everyone who supported her throughout the preparation for and participation in the championship.
Queen hopes this achievement will mark the beginning of even greater success. She added that she still has several goals she aims to achieve in future competitions.
“God willing, I hope I can continue to give my best,” Queen said.
