It is very important for these kids to interpret independence, so that they really understand that it is not easy to gain independence
Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) – Several students of elementary and junior high schools in Denpasar City, Bali, participated in a parade of decorated bikes to welcome the 77th Anniversary of Independence Day at the Puputan Badung field, Denpasar, on Saturday.
“There are 77 participants, and this is to enliven the (commemoration of) Independence Day of Indonesia as well as Bali Province. The route goes around Denpasar City, not far, because students bring decorated bicycles,” Endradatta, the organizer staff, remarked.
Endradatta noted that the decorated bicycle parade and the competition to adorn the bicycles were held to instill a spirit of nationalism among elementary and junior high school students as members of the young generation, who are considered to be the roots of the nation’s strength.
On Sunday, August 14, the bicycle community Endradatta will hold a night ride using old bicycles.
