Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) showcased around 150–200 innovation products from 12 research clusters to President Prabowo Subianto during a meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.
BRIN Head Arif Satria said all of the products on display had undergone a curation process and represent a wide range of the agency’s strategic research areas.
“We have around 12 research clusters. After the curation process, we selected approximately 150 to 200 products,” he said.
According to Arif, President Prabowo was scheduled not only to receive a briefing on BRIN’s research achievements but also to inspect the innovations firsthand and engage in discussions with the researchers behind them.
The exhibits cover 12 research clusters, including food, energy, health, transportation, housing, space, aviation, nuclear technology, rare earth metals, as well as innovations supporting the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program and the development of fishing villages.
Arif said not all of BRIN’s research outputs could be brought to the Presidential Palace because some are located at research facilities across the country, while others are too large to be transported. As a result, only selected innovations were displayed.
He added that several of the showcased technologies are still being refined but have strong potential for further development and wider application.
Earlier, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said President Prabowo had invited BRIN researchers to present research findings that support the government’s priority programs, particularly in the areas of food and energy.
