Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto currently has no plans to reshuffle the Red and White Cabinet, Minister of the State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi confirmed on Monday, dismissing growing speculation over vacant deputy ministerial positions.
Speaking to reporters at the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, Prasetyo—who also serves as a presidential spokesperson—stated that cabinet operations remain stable and focused on routine duties.
“As of today, there are no plans for a reshuffle,” Prasetyo stated following a meeting with lawmakers.
He clarified that if any administrative decisions are finalized, the President will prioritize filling currently vacant posts rather than conducting a broader political restructuring.
The clarification comes amid mounting questions regarding leadership gaps within two key ministries.
The post of Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections has been vacant since June 2026, following the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) decision to name then-Deputy Minister Silmy Karim a suspect in an extortion probe.
Separately, the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture opened up in late July 2026 after Sudaryono was appointed to head the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), replacing outgoing chief Nanik S. Deyang. Sudaryono stepped down from his agricultural post to prevent overlapping duties, and a successor has yet to be named.
Addressing ongoing cabinet oversight, Hadi noted that continuous performance monitoring is standard procedure at the Presidential Palace and should not be interpreted as a prelude to a political shake-up.
“The evaluation or oversight process does not always lead to a reshuffle,” Prasetyo stated earlier, emphasizing that evaluations focus on program delivery, inter-agency coordination, and accurate public communication by government officials.
