Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Criminal Investigation Department of Indonesia’s National Police is pursuing Yuwanky, owner of Planet nightclub in Batam, who reportedly fled to Singapore, Drug Crime Director Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso said.
The police issued a wanted-person notice for Yuwanky, numbered DPO/142/VIII/2026/Dittipidnarkoba, Santoso told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday.
“Yuwanky, owner of Planet Batam and a drug dealer, allegedly supplied various drugs at the nightclub with suspect Basri,” Santoso said.
Investigators will collaborate with the National Police’s International Relations Division and Interpol to pursue Yuwanky in Singapore.
The wanted-person notice identifies Yuwanky as an Indonesian citizen born in Selat Panjang on May 6, 1959, listing his occupation as a businessman.
Yuwanky is described as having straight black hair, non-slanted eyes, a prominent nose, fair skin, moderately thin lips, and no tattoos.
Police stated Yuwanky is also a repeat offender in a narcotics case.
On Thursday, police arrested Basri Lemaiwang, manager of Planet 1, 2, and 3 nightclubs in Batam, after he fled to Malaysia.
Lemaiwang and Yuwanky allegedly supplied drugs at the nightclubs, police said.
Police investigator Commander Drago said Lemaiwang had been in Malaysia since August 11, following a police raid on HH Club, or Planet 3, on August 10.
Lemaiwang was arrested and flown to Jakarta for intensive questioning, Drago added.
